Company History
Malsom Implement was founded in 1964 by Tony Malsom when he bought the Ford tractor franchise from Harries Motors in WaKeeney, KS. Tony ran the dealership, as well as running the dance hall, and a liquor store here in Collyer. In 1971 Malsom Implement Company (and the liquor store that was inside) burnt down. Tony rebuilt the dealership and continued to run it, until he sold it to his son in 1985.
Dwayne Malsom purchased Malsom Implement Company from his father in 1985. in 1988 Ford bought New Holland and Dwayne took on the New Holland franchise. When the Ford-New Holland company bough Versatile, we added the four-wheel drive line to our offerings. Ford Motor company sold the Ford-New Holland to Fiat Agra in 1991. In the merger of New Holland and Case in 2003, New Holland sold the Genesis and Versatile lines to Buhler. In 2004, Malsom Implement Company took on the Buhler Lines.
